JEE Mains 2016 - Cut Off for Gen. category dipped by 5 points
Out of the total 11,28,633 candidates who appeared for JEE Mains this year, only 1,98,228 qualified for JEE Advance. Total result was mere 17.56%
This was the first time when General category cut off was the lowest. Candidates scoring above 100 qualified for JEE Advance.
This year, the total count of students who will sit for Jee Advance has also been increased from 1.5 lakh to 2.0 lakhs.
The cut-off for SCs has increased from 50 to 52 and for ST increased from 44 to 48 this year.
